Dr. Gabrielle Perrone earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, as well as, her Bachelors of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology Exercise at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) After completing her degrees, she became the Lead Physical Therapist at the University of Florida’s Student Health Care Clinic, where she worked with UF’s Sports Medicine Physicians coordinating care for the varsity student athletes. Dr. Perrone specializes in running medicine, overhead athletes and post-concussion rehab and has extensive experience in treating surgical and non- surgical orthopedic conditions and sports injuries. She served as the main treating concussion specialist working closely with the team physicians for football, volleyball and basketball at UF.
Dr. Perrone also was heavily involved in teaching both at UF Health and the University of Florida’s DPT school. Dr. Perrone served as the main CCCE at the Student Health Care Clinic and was directly involved in the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, lecturing and mentoring Sports Fellows Doctors throughout their time at UF Health.
Outside of work Dr. Perrone dedicates her time training and competing in competitive beach volleyball. Running is another one of her passions, along with weightlifting, biking, yoga and skiing. She loves good food, traveling and has sung and played the piano since she was 6 years old. When she is not being active you can find her at the beach with friends or family.
